Wow. What a whirlwind of a week. From school closures, restaurant and bar limitations, group limits, and cancellations right and left, this is all unprecedented territory. I’m sure I’m not the only Mom out there who needs a little sunshine right now. We went on a little adventure up north to Dallas before everything became really scary and visited the Dallas tulip farm, Texas-Tulips. I know that I’m the queen of light and airy neutrals, but today I bring you COLOR and hopefully a little joy!

A Visit to The Dallas Tulip Farm, Texas-Tulips
Y’all know that I love anything with florals! I love newborn sessions with flowers, motherhood portraits, milk baths, cake smashes, bluebonnets in the spring, etc. Seriously, when clients ask me about including flowers in their session, I probably light up like the fourth of July. We missed the tulips blooming last year because Bree was so little, but we made it this year! This is our second time taking the kids pictures out there and it was *magical*! Y’all the sunshine and those flowers were just made for each other. And, I must say, I’m so in love with how they look on my walls already! That pop of color is just such a delight!
Just a Baby in the Tulips
This baby, y’all. I know she’s mine, but my goodness, she’s so beautiful! I’m the luckiest mama in the world to get to kiss those cheeks anytime I want! Since Bree was the only kiddo that we took with us, she even got to have a little wardrobe change into a gorgeous monogrammed dress from Smocked Sweets. (Side bar: We are one of the brand reps for Smocked Sweets and absolutely love working her! She’s definitely a mom owned business to go check out!) These tulips were a beautiful opportunity for spring portraits with our sweet baby!
*Bree’s white dress shown here is also a part of my studio wardrobe that is available for all clients.
Family Portraits at Texas Tulips
If you are interested in family portraits at the tulip farm, I would be happy to chat with you for the 2021 Tulip season. The best time to book those sessions will be around December and January of 2021!
