Hi there friends! I thought I’d check in the blog this week answers to some of the questions that I get asked most frequently when it comes to my maternity sessions! I’m also using this recent Galveston beach maternity session to supply the beautiful pictures for this post! This sweet couple was so amazing and I know they just adore their pictures!
“When should I book my maternity portraits & other maternity FAQ”

When should I schedule a maternity session?
This is definitely the number one question that I hear! My recommendation is to schedule your session for sometime between 30 & 34 weeks. If you feel like you are swelling a bit, then I would shoot earlier! Some lucky mamas can push it later in their pregnancy and feel as radiant as ever! (I shot my own maternity session at 28 weeks with my third baby. I know that I swell early on, so I wanted to get it in before that!) That said, I have photographed a beautiful belly as far as 39 weeks!

Do you have maternity dresses in your client closet?
Absolutely! Originally, the client wardrobe started as just maternity clothing! Now that it has expanded, I have a few fitted maternity dresses from Sew Trendy and plenty of more flowy maxi dresses that you are welcome to try at your consultant appointment. If you would like to order your own dress, I’m happy to help with you that as well!

Is my husband/family included in the session?
YES, of course! Even if this is your first baby, husbands are always welcome!

Can I book a Galveston Beach Maternity Session?
Yes, please! You can find detailed information about a Galveston beach maternity session, including pricing, here!

Is there a discount for booking maternity and newborn together?
There sure is. With the exception of beach sessions, due to the travel involved, my maternity sessions are offered as an add-on to your newborn session. Contact me for details about that!
